63. 2nd Year Anniversary!

 It's exactly two years ago since I took the step of publishing my first ever post for the Ultimate World FM Game. I didn't know how it would go? Fate took me to Cambodia, hardly a footballing power but as it turns out a very interesting place in which to build a football manager story around. Playing FM and writing this story has become a part of my life, a hobby which has kept me busy, usually on an evening after work. On the Official SI Forums, the story won three awards, Best Rest of The World Story, Best Character (for 'The Cambodian Pele' Ahmed Abdi) and I also retained my Writer of The Year Crown. On this blog I now have nearly 7,000 views from around the world, including some regular views from Cambodia itself which I am thrilled about, Ukraine (peace be with you soon I hope) and in many different countries around the world on every single Continent. I hope you are enjoying the ride and the soap opera romance element which has been added of late (all made up of course) as we progress through yet another C-League season.   It was two days after the party and the first day back at training. In this time I'd had time to reflect on the events and Hem Vutha's shock announcement. I had very much mixed feelings about the situation. 72. Start of Season 7

  Despite the upheaval of the takeover which which rumbling on in the backgound, it was important that me and my backroom staff took a "business as usual" approach to the start of the brand new Cambodian season. It is fair to say that the fixture computer had been less than kind to us during this period too. Some nice easy fixtures and a few early wins would help my cause of staying in the job, should any new owner be thinking about making a change. The first game, a visit to the vastly improved National Police (at least in a footballing sense) was followed by Boeung Ket at home and then a trip to the casino in our third match, which could potentially be my first match under the new regime. 1. The Ultimate World Football Manager Game – The Set Up Part 1.

  Saturday 26 th December 2020 (in real life) Boxing Day is arguably the most important day in the world sporting calendar. Traditionally and in a normal year it was the day when men would ‘escape’ after spending the previous day with family and loved ones. This year was different, the year we were advised to be ‘jolly careful’ by our Prime Minister, Boris Johnson and it was the time where I only had one day to see my parents on Christmas Day. My original plans for Boxing Day 2020 had been kyboshed by the tightening of restrictions just days before.
