57. Boxing Day 2022

Firstly a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to my readers around the world. Two years to the day since I started the Ultimate World FM Game and I'm still going strong with Electricitie du Cambodge in Cambodia. Readership has increased this year as I discovered Reddit was quite a good place to link to and through this I now even have some readers in Cambodia itself, which is fantastic! As I write this the blog has received a total of 6096 views on blogger and around 9200 views on the Official Sports Interactive Forums, meaning nearly 15.5K views in total. Once again I am up for several awards on the SI Forums to be held early in the new year. On the field, while the C-League title still eludes us, EDC have won their first silverware, beating Nagaworld on penalties to lift the Hun Sen Cup 2023 (on the game). We then followed it up with the Kings Cup after beating Phnom Penh Crown 2-1 after extra time. Once again, thankyou for reading the Ultimate World FM Game wherever you are in the world.   It was two days after the party and the first day back at training. In this time I'd had time to reflect on the events and Hem Vutha's shock announcement. I had very much mixed feelings about the situation. 72. Start of Season 7

  Despite the upheaval of the takeover which which rumbling on in the backgound, it was important that me and my backroom staff took a "business as usual" approach to the start of the brand new Cambodian season. It is fair to say that the fixture computer had been less than kind to us during this period too. Some nice easy fixtures and a few early wins would help my cause of staying in the job, should any new owner be thinking about making a change. The first game, a visit to the vastly improved National Police (at least in a footballing sense) was followed by Boeung Ket at home and then a trip to the casino in our third match, which could potentially be my first match under the new regime. 1. The Ultimate World Football Manager Game – The Set Up Part 1.

  Saturday 26 th December 2020 (in real life) Boxing Day is arguably the most important day in the world sporting calendar. Traditionally and in a normal year it was the day when men would ‘escape’ after spending the previous day with family and loved ones. This year was different, the year we were advised to be ‘jolly careful’ by our Prime Minister, Boris Johnson and it was the time where I only had one day to see my parents on Christmas Day. My original plans for Boxing Day 2020 had been kyboshed by the tightening of restrictions just days before.
